April 29, 2021
It’s time to look forward to the return of spectators at Wimbledon 2021!
And Wimbledon debenture ticket holders will have the highest priority.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club, hosts and organisers of Wimbledon 2021, have confirmed this.
In fact the AELTC recently issued a fresh guarantee. It told WDH: ‘As previously communicated, we are committed to ensuring that all debenture holders can attend within a reduced-capacity scenario.’
This means you can rest easy and look forward to the big event once you have bought your seats from WDH.
You will be safe in the knowledge that your tickets won’t be impacted by the restrictions on crowd numbers.
Here at WDH we pride ourselves on our knowledge of Wimbledon.
We’ve been advising you for some months to expect a reduced-capacity Championships. And that’s the way it’s going to be.
A 25 per cent capacity is the minimum we can expect. But spectator numbers may well be higher in the end.
The UK government will lift all pandemic-related restrictions by June 21 – a week before the start of Wimbledon.
That’s great news because it almost certainly means there’ll be even more spectators at Wimbledon 2021 than already promised.
In the last week of April, Wimbledon announced: ‘We very much hope 25 per cent is a minimum position from which we can build.
‘It is our absolute desire to enable as many people as possible to safely attend The Championships this year.’
Whatever the final number, we know one thing for sure. One hundred per cent of Wimbledon debenture ticket holders will be able to attend. We have priority.
And however many enthusiastic fans are eventually allowed on Centre Court and No1 Court, you can be sure that Wimbledon Debenture ticket holders will be able to enjoy the best seats.
Buy with us and you are guaranteed a fantastic and luxurious day at the most historic sporting venue of them all. We know the players will appreciate your presence too.
The bond between players and fans has never been stronger. And that will manifest itself most on the classic show courts. There will be a truly intimate and unique atmosphere at Wimbledon 2021. This will be a year of emotional reunions on and off the court.
AELTC chairman Ian Hewitt explained: ‘We remain humbled and heartened by the passion for Wimbledon shown by our fans around the world. We look forward to seeing the world’s best tennis players setting foot on our courts once again.’
Roger Federer will be so happy and relieved to hear the cheers of the Centre Court spectators at Wimbledon 2021.
So will Andy Murray and Serena Williams. How they have missed the fans! This might prove to be their last Championships as singles stars, too.
They will embrace and cherish their close relationship with the Wimbledon spectators like never before.
Do you want to be part of that historic intimacy? Wimbledon 2021 will be remembered like no other.
You’ll always be able to say you were there. And make no mistake, the positive energy among the spectators will more than make up for the reduced numbers.
Nothing epitomises the great British summer more than Wimbledon. It’s the jewel in the crown.
If you want to be sure of seeing the biggest stars do battle on the famous Wimbledon show courts again, then the wisest move you can make is to buy tickets from us.
A Wimbledon debenture ticket has never been more important. And it has always been the only legally resalable ticket. The early purchase of a debenture ticket therefore gives you certainty and peace of mind.
You can begin to cherish your big day from the moment you buy from us.
And Wimbledon 2021 will give us one particular day to treasure for the very last time. Manic Monday has always been a special day at Wimbledon.
On the second Monday of Wimbledon fortnight, we have always been able to see all the players still left in the men’s and women’s singles tournaments perform in the round of 16.
But after this year, Manic Monday will cease to exist in its current form.
From 2022 Wimbledon will host play on the middle Sunday. The round of 16 will therefore be spread over two days – the middle Sunday and Monday. So if Manic Monday has always been your favourite day, then Wimbledon 2021 is definitely for you!
But let’s face it, every day at Wimbledon 2021 is going to be amazing. There is so much to celebrate. The strength of the human spirit. The ability to adapt and overcome. The chance to enjoy life again at long last!
The vaccine roll-out has been incredible.
Millions more British citizens are to be vaccinated in the coming weeks. At the time of writing, around 35 million have been vaccinated already – more than half the entire UK population. And don’t forget, the UK was the first country in the world to roll out the vaccines.
Game-changing evidence has emerged showing that vaccination not only protects but dramatically reduces transmission too. London is therefore in a great position to host a happy and healthy Wimbledon 2021.
It’ll finally be time to relax a little and enjoy ourselves. Just imagine the good vibrations we will all feel at Wimbledon 2021. We genuinely believe this experience will be unforgettable for those lucky enough to be there. Something to treasure for the rest of our lives.
